Recording and consent policy

Last updated October 20, 2026

We record interviews and dinner conversations so the host company gets an accurate account of what buyers said. This policy explains what we record, who hears it and the control you keep.

What we record

  • Interviews. Pre-dinner interviews are recorded, with your consent at the start of each one.
  • The dinner. The conversation is recorded in audio only. Guests are told before they accept, and again at the table.
  • Photos and video. Only at arrival and at close, and only of guests who have signed a media release. Never during the conversation.

Who hears it

Recordings are used by Meridain to prepare the Brief and the Report for the host company. We do not publish recordings. Deliverables are confidential to the host company’s team.

How you are quoted

Inside the host company’s deliverables, we may describe what was said and quote it by role and industry. We do not quote you by name outside the host company’s team, publish your words, or use them in our own marketing without your written consent for that specific use.

Your control

  • You can decline to be recorded. Tell us before the dinner and we will discuss how you can still take part.
  • You can ask for anything you said to be struck, at the table or afterward, and we will remove it from the deliverables.
  • You can withdraw media consent at any time for future use.

Retention

We keep recordings only as long as needed to prepare and support the deliverables, then delete them.
